The village of Saundersfoot is one of the most popular holiday destination in South Pembrokeshire. Originally a fishing and mining village, it now attracts visitors from all over the country year after year. Saundersfoot is also a very popular choice for a day (or a night) out for local people living in the sourounding towns and villages.

Saundersfoot is only 3 1/2 miles away from Mellieha Guest House, via the road which passes Wiseman's Bridge (the Inn at Wiseman's Bridge beach is a favourate for Sunday Lunches) and Coppet Hall.

If you don't mind walking then you can reach Saundersfoot by walking along the Pembrokeshire coastal path, reaching the village through the old railway tunnels (originally built for mining operations) which connect Wiseman's Bridge and Saundersfoot.

Saundersfoot has many small guest houses and bed and breakfast establishments but can get extremely busy during the summer months - we have seen cars circling the one way system time and time again in search for a parking space.

The small, picturesque fishing harbour and the sandy beach stretching away from it give Saundersfoot a unique charm, and the many small shops, restaurants and pubs get very busy, providing a buzzling holiday atmosphere. The 'Sands' nightclub in Saundersfoot is probably the busiest nightspot in South Pembrokeshire, being a favourite with visiting and local partygoers alike.
